Student Section

The Student Section is your home for all things student-life at ABBS PU College — from rules and guidelines to clubs, the canteen, counselling and grievance redressal. Everything you need to thrive on campus is consolidated here.

General Guidelines

  • Students must wear the prescribed college uniform on all working days and carry their college ID card at all times.
  • Punctuality, regularity and attendance are mandatory; a minimum attendance of 75% in each subject is required to appear for the final examinations.
  • Use of mobile phones, tobacco products, alcohol or any banned substance is strictly prohibited inside the campus.
  • Respect the property of the college — any damage caused will be charged to the student concerned.
  • Students are expected to maintain the dignity of the institution both inside and outside the campus.

Canteen

The college canteen serves wholesome, hygienic and affordable meals throughout the day. Breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages are available, prepared in a clean kitchen and served in a spacious, ventilated dining area. The menu is rotated regularly to give students variety while keeping nutrition in focus.

Clubs & Associations

ABBS encourages students to develop their personality beyond the classroom through a variety of clubs and student associations:

  • Literary Club — debates, elocution, essay writing.
  • Cultural Club — music, dance, drama and college fest organising.
  • Science Club — quizzes, exhibitions, model-making and field trips.
  • Commerce & Entrepreneurship Club — mock stock, business plans, guest lectures.
  • Sports Club — intra-college tournaments and inter-college events.
  • NCC & NSS Units — community service, parades and camps.

Counselling Centre

The counselling centre at ABBS provides academic, career and personal counselling to students. Trained counsellors help students cope with academic stress, exam anxiety, peer pressure and personal challenges. Career counselling sessions before the end of II PUC help students choose the right path forward — engineering, medicine, commerce, law, design or other streams.

Grievance Redressal

ABBS PU College has a formal Grievance Redressal Cell to receive and resolve student concerns regarding academics, hostel, canteen, fees and other matters. Students can submit their grievances either through the suggestion box, in writing to the principal, or in person to the cell members. Every grievance is reviewed and addressed within a stipulated time frame, in a fair and confidential manner.
